An authentic Roman glass unguentarium dating to the 1st century AD and originating from Jerusalem. The vessel features an elegant pear-shaped body, an elongated cylindrical neck, and a flared rim. Vessels of this type were used for storing valuable liquids such as perfumes, oils, cosmetics, and medicinal preparations. The glass retains natural surface weathering and areas of iridescence developed over centuries of burial.
